About the Provider: I am a Board Certified, Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, (PMHNP-BC). I obtained my prfessional degree from Walden University. Over the years, I had professional affiliations with reputable mental health facilities including Bakersfield behavior, John George psych and more. I treat children and adults affected by various mental illness with care and compassion. I utilize Evidence Based Practice model to make treatment choices. I am specialized in treating ADHD, depression, anxiety and mood instability. Stimulant and non stimulant treatment are available. I do conduct ADHD screening and testing before treatment.

Thank you for visiting my profile. After completing medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, I entered psychiatry because I saw the impact psychological pain and suffering have on a person, including their health, functioning, and relationships. I saw how people get stuck and feel defined by that pain and suffering. Over the course of my training at Westchester Medical Center in general and child/adolescent psychiatry and in independent practice experiences in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings, I had the privilege of helping people heal and emerge with a better understanding of themselves and their world.

It has always been my dream to have my own practice and I thank God that it is finally happening. My personal philosophy in life is to put God first, being thankful for all that I have, to always be kind to others even if it is seen by some as weakness, always be empathic, to look at my struggles as an opportunity for self-improvement and an opportunity to help others and finally to be a beacon of light to all who cross my path For my patients, I desire to travel with them on their journey as they navigate their way through life.

James Dusenbury, offers medication assessment and management. HE is licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State. Additionally, he holds a National Board Certification in Psychiatry from the ANCC. James has over 15 years of experience in psychiatry and started his own private practice, Different Approach Therapy, inc. . He has worked in both clinical and administrative roles at Bellevue and Mount Sinai Hospitals, and Jacobi Medical Center. James has also worked in the psychiatric emergency room at Coney Island Hospital.

I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at NYU with a clinical focus in child/adolescent psychiatry. Since then I have worked extensively with adolescents coming out of intensive care programs for psychosis and children/adolescents with neurodiversity. I am also an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Nursing teaching inpatient psychiatric clinicals. I provide various psychiatric assessment and treatment, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, school collorations and genetic testing. A typical initial evaluation is 90 minutes and the follow-ups are 30 minutes.

Robert Terrelonge, APRN, PMHNP is a licensed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in private practice in New York. He provides treatment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. As a Nurse Practitioner, Mr. Terrelonge sees patients independently and offers many of the same services as a Psychiatrist, yet combines both medical and nursing perspectives. Ms. Coleman-Mitchell started her educational training by obtaining her Associate of Science in Nursing from Gordon University and later went to Chamberlain University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Soon after, Stacey received her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She is committed to working together with her clients monthly to ensure they are receiving the best care possible.

Dr. Ben received his MD from Cornell University, his BA from Williams College, and completed his residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He has served as Chief Resident of the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai and has been featured on NBC's Today show.

I'm a child and adolescent psychiatrist based in Manhattan and Queens. Areas of interest include ADHD, behavioral issues, anxiety and phobias, academic, social and family problems. I enjoy doing therapy, i.e. cognitive and behavioral therapy, play therapy and family therapy. Medication is prescribed when clinically warranted. The focus of the practice is working with children, teenagers, and their families.
