Hi- thank you for visiting. I am a Mount Sinai Hospital-trained, double board-certified Adult and Child/Adolescent psychiatrist. In addition to seeing patients in my private practice, I am an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai.

Yeqi is a listener, mentor, and partner in patient's recovery journey. She gets to know every patient by listening to their history, what they are at currently, and what their goals are. Throughout the treatment course, Yeqi provides extensive psychoeducation, discusses different treatment options, and eventually reaches a plan of action that is individualized, feasible, and efficacious for each patient. Getting a prescription is never the end of the story. Yeqi strives to achieve sustainable treatment goal by empowering patients to become engaged partners in their care.

I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at NYU with a clinical focus in child/adolescent psychiatry. Since then I have worked extensively with adolescents coming out of intensive care programs for psychosis and children/adolescents with neurodiversity. I am also an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Nursing teaching inpatient psychiatric clinicals. I provide various psychiatric assessment and treatment, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, school collorations and genetic testing. A typical initial evaluation is 90 minutes and the follow-ups are 30 minutes.

I am an NYU-educated, ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in providing authentic and non-judgmental nursing care. My focus are the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and insomnia. I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. My approach is collaborative, individualized, holistic from a shared decision-making perspective, which combine therapy styles from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) with IFS-informed (Internal Family System-informed) EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I take a comprehensive and holistic approach to mental health emphasizing care of the mind and body. As a provider who is board certified in psychiatric mental health and primary care, I am equipped to partner with my clients to meet their psychological and medical needs with an open mind. I recognize the profound impact that mental health has on physical health, as well as the physical health impact on mental health. I partner with clients using psychodynamic therapy and evidence-based pharmacology. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, running and biking, reading, cooking, and spending time with my dog.

I am a board certified psychiatrist in Manhattan and faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. My approach towards helping people is empathetic, relaxed, and trauma-informed. With a down to earth manner I like to genuinely get to know the people I work with. As an experienced supervisor of psychiatry and psychotherapy, I am confident in addressing a breadth of issues whether they are distressing symptoms, difficulties with relationships, problematic life patterns, healing from past hurts, and helping those who aren't even sure what's wrong in finding answers.

Many of my clients struggle with mood disorders or anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder. When psychiatric symptoms are too overwhelming and difficult to be addressed with psychotherapy alone, many clients may seek treatment with medications.

Dr. Fan joined NYC Psychiatric Associates with the goal of providing his patients an extra level of care and compassion. He is aware that every patient is different and manages treatment with that in mind; he works to get to know his patients and find the best treatment approach for each specific condition and situation. Dr. Fan’s depth and breadth of clinical experience is unique, having served as psychiatrist in emergency room, inpatient units and forensic settings.
