Telepsychiatry for New York

We are currently accepting new patients for ADHD Neuropsychological testing. Think you have ADHD? No problem! We offer ADHD Objective Testing that can be used to guide ADHD diagnosis for patients. The testing can also be done at the office and via telehealth. We also offer adult autism assessment and DBT-informed therapy. At Ample Grace Psychiatry, we offer a custom approach for each client! We start with understanding where you are now and your challenges. We help you put a plan in place to help you move forward, and we celebrate your successes along the way. We offer an inclusive, safe space with visits to suit your schedule.

I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at NYU with a clinical focus in child/adolescent psychiatry. Since then I have worked extensively with adolescents coming out of intensive care programs for psychosis and children/adolescents with neurodiversity. I am also an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Nursing teaching inpatient psychiatric clinicals. I provide various psychiatric assessment and treatment, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, school collorations and genetic testing. A typical initial evaluation is 90 minutes and the follow-ups are 30 minutes.

Are there disturbing problems in your life that you struggle to improve? Are you trying to discover who you are? I use a "toolbox" approach using one or more therapeutic techniques based on what you need. I am trained in interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, psychopharmacology, CBT, DBT skills, EMDR, Gottman method, and trauma-informed therapy. I am confident that my combination of skills will help if we have a compatible and good rapport together.

If you are anxious and depressed despite trying different medications and treatments and, you can't seem to get the relief you need, and if you still don't connect in relationships, and can't find satisfaction in your accomplishments, or engage in self-destructive behavior, then I am the person to contact. I have traditional training in psychoanalysis and psychopharmacology, but I also use hypnosis, EMDR, and other innovative forms of treatment. I believe that communication is the key to effective treatment and that our teamwork is essential to the development of trust and empathy necessary in developing healthy relationships..

Erica Johnson is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in the state of New York. She completed her Bachelors of Nursing from Temple University in Philadelphia, P.A. She received her Masters of Nursing in Psychiatry from Walden University. She has over 11 years in the field of Nursing.

I am a board certified Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry with a Doctoral Degree from New York University. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently provide outpatient medication management and psychotherapy to my clients. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at NYU.
