About the Provider: I am a Board Certified, Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, (PMHNP-BC). I obtained my prfessional degree from Walden University. Over the years, I had professional affiliations with reputable mental health facilities including Bakersfield behavior, John George psych and more. I treat children and adults affected by various mental illness with care and compassion. I utilize Evidence Based Practice model to make treatment choices. I am specialized in treating ADHD, depression, anxiety and mood instability. Stimulant and non stimulant treatment are available. I do conduct ADHD screening and testing before treatment.

Mary utilizes a patient-centered/tailored approach with an emphasis on collaborative, mutually respectful patient-provider relationships. She follows The Perspective Approach to psychiatry, recognizing that mental illness is not linear, but dimensional. She strives to provide a warm and compassionate environment where her patients feel heard, validated and respected. I am a Board-certified Neurologist and UCNS-certified Neuropsychiatrist who was trained at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Columbia University School of Medicine. I specialize in treating people with Neurological or Psychiatric symptoms (or both), including anxiety, depression, irritability, apathy, fatigue, insomnia, chronic pain, headache, addiction and cognitive difficulty. I use the fewest medications possible to achieve the most relief. I also use Neurological medications that target the stress system, which is a novel and effective way to treat more than one symptom simultaneously.

Angela Magill is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Graduate of the University at Buffalo and received her Doctorate from Stoneybrook University. She specialized in adolescent and adult mental health and healing as well as a specialty in Post Traumatic Stress of military, fire, police and civilian trauma. With a background in emergency services, law enforcement and general psychiatry, she has a diverse experience of many populations. I have practiced in multiple settings including office based, hospitals, Hospice/palliative care and home-care. My vast experience has provided a knowledge base that will help to provide the best care for my clients. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adult patients with a variety of psychiatric illness. Alexander Gumbs, FNP/PMHNP-BC is a dual board-certified practitioner in psychiatry and family medicine. Mr. Gumbs uses an integrative holistic approach to treat the bodies and minds of his patients. He is proficient in treating those across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and seniors). Community focus is his passion. He has experience treating disadvantaged populations, such as the homeless and those in the criminal justice system transitioning back to civilian life. Mr. Gumbs treats those with anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, autism, insomnia, dementia, and postpartum depression.

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I graduated with my masters from New York University. I have worked on an inpatient psychiatry unit and in an outpatient clinic. Jena M. Simon, DNP, is a Double Board-Certified nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatric mental health and family health. After graduating from Columbia University in 2010 as a Family and Oncology Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Simon worked in New York City at a large tertiary medical center caring for adults with sickle cell disease. In this role, she became attuned to the needs of people living with chronic illness and chronic pain.

I am a board certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner and have worked in the outpatient setting for the past 20 years. I focus on creating a comfortable environment for individuals so that healing can begin from the first encounter. Each individual is unique and their treatment plan is developed with their specific needs in mind. Empowering others to uncover their inner pain is facilitated so that happiness can replace that discomfort. Healing is a process and individuals who are depressed, anxious and suffering from other behavioral disorders will be guided on that journey to wellness.
