My approach is informed by my work as a public interest attorney and witnessing the ways in which many aspects of life (housing, work, economic security, racial identity, gender identity, and sexuality) impact mental health. I take a strength-based approach that is client-centered and work with clients to determine what tools work best for them at the time. Healing is not always linear. I hope to create a space that feels supportive no matter where a person is in their journey.

Hi! I’m a New York City-based double-board certified psychiatrist working with adults, adolescents, and children. My work centers around psychotherapy; including developmentally appropriate psychodynamic, CBT, and play therapies. In addition, my approach to psychiatric medications is to meet individuals and families where they are at. I work with people who want to seek deeper growth and meaning without numbing what makes them human. As for my background – I trained at BU and Mount Sinai, and have worked at both The New School and as lead psychiatrist at the Columbia University Medical Center counseling center.

Harvard, Mount Sinai, and Yale-trained, I have over twenty years of experience in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy working with complex cases in a variety of clinical settings. I have a holistic and integrative approach to my practice using art, positive psychiatry and mindfulness approaches. I use strength-based approaches to help you become more resilient and optimistic. Robert Terrelonge, APRN, PMHNP is a licensed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in private practice in New York. He provides treatment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. As a Nurse Practitioner, Mr. Terrelonge sees patients independently and offers many of the same services as a Psychiatrist, yet combines both medical and nursing perspectives. He currently serves Patients in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island and uses both office visits and tele-psychiatry to provide easy, affordable and convenient psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.

Dr. Lopez-Larson is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist and received her MD from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. She performed her adult and child psychiatry training at Harvard Medical School training sites including Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital and Cambridge Hospital, respectively. She has been practicing for over 15 years in a variety of settings including academic research, inpatient, residential and outpatient psychiatric services.

Yeqi is a listener, mentor, and partner in patient's recovery journey. She gets to know every patient by listening to their history, what they are at currently, and what their goals are. Throughout the treatment course, Yeqi provides extensive psychoeducation, discusses different treatment options, and eventually reaches a plan of action that is individualized, feasible, and efficacious for each patient. Getting a prescription is never the end of the story. Yeqi strives to achieve sustainable treatment goal by empowering patients to become engaged partners in their care.

I started my career at University of Rochester Medical Center and I have 10 years of experience working in psychiatry ranging from outpatient clinics to inpatient settings. I work with children and adolescents as well as adults. I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and I received my master’s degree from the University of Rochester. Since 2019 I have lived and worked as a nurse practitioner in Denver, Colorado and now that I am back in New York, I look forward to help you in your mental health journey.

James Dusenbury, offers medication assessment and management. HE is licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State. Additionally, he holds a National Board Certification in Psychiatry from the ANCC. James has over 15 years of experience in psychiatry and started his own private practice, Different Approach Therapy, inc. . He has worked in both clinical and administrative roles at Bellevue and Mount Sinai Hospitals, and Jacobi Medical Center. James has also worked in the psychiatric emergency room at Coney Island Hospital.
