With more than 20 years of experience working as a psychiatrist and 15 years as a child and adolescent psychiatrist, I focus on each patient's strengths and believe strongly that empowering each individual in treatment decision making is most critical part of any good treatment. Medication management for psychiatric disorders is complex. I am strong proponent of following evidence based recommendations personalized to each individual.

I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist who enjoys working with patients of all ages and their families. I completed my adult psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai and my child and adolescent fellowship at Columbia/Cornell. In my small private practice, I strive to approach each patient with warmth, compassion, and thoughtfulness. I integrate psychotherapy with medication management, if indicated, to help you understand the core issues at hand and work toward making lasting positive change. I treat patients located in New York and Maryland via telehealth. Please note, I do not prescribe controlled substances to patients in New York.

Dr. Edelman is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the Medical College of Georgia and at SUNY Downstate. She completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at SUNY Downstate. She has practiced in various settings over her career, including inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric units, adult and child academic outpatient treatment clinics, emergency psychiatric treatment, and community psychiatry.

I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and I believe in a holistic approach, incorporating physical and mental health. I combine up-to-date medical treatment with talk therapy to create a personalized plan to address an individual’s complaints and work collaboratively with patients and families to create a treatment plan that is driven by results. I attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed psychiatry training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

I am a board certified adult and child psychiatrist, and I'm also board certified in integrative and holistic medicine. I treat anxiety, attention, and mood difficulties, including adult and child ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and depression. When necessary, I recommend medication, with the lowest effective doses. I recommend traditional and natural treatments along with practical suggestions about communication, lifestyle, and stress management. I am on faculty at NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Penn is currently an attending psychiatrist and clinical professor at New York University (NYU) and is in private practice. She is licensed in New York and California. She completed her Child & Adolescent Fellowship at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and her residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. ​

Finding a Board Certified Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, one who approaches treatment from an evidence based clinical, holistic, developmental and systems based (family, school, etc) perspective is challenging. I am committed to improving lives of children, adolescents and their families. I specialize in Autism, Anxiety and OCD disorders. I treat these through Cognitive Behavioral, Exposure Response Prevention, Family or Parent Behavioral Management therapies with or without psychotropic medications. I incorporate mindfulness, psychoeducation, sensory and complimentary interventions as appropriate.

I am a board-certified, Cornell and Mount Sinai-trained adult and child psychiatrist in New York and California. My approach to treatment is holistic and firmly rooted in the science of the brain, combining psychotherapy (for individuals, families, and couples) with nutrition, lifestyle modification, as well as state-of-the-art medication treatment, when helpful. I view each person as a complex individual with a unique story to tell, so I take time getting to know my clients and work collaboratively to develop a targeted plan to achieve their treatment goals.

I'm passionate about working with people to ensure they have the tools and resilience they need to thrive and succeed. Increasing demands on all of us, particularly young people and families, have placed unprecedented challenges and coping with them can be difficult. I take a comprehensive approach and spend the time necessary to tailor the best treatment plan for you. I have a deep interest in helping you to cope successfully with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, and other mental health issues with therapy and the judicious use of selection of medication when needed.

My interest in medicine can be traced back to my early childhood. I come from a family with several generations of physicians. My father, a pediatrician, had the greatest influence on me. What amazed me the most about him was the amount of care and genuine concern that he demonstrated for his patients, which in my mind are essential for an ideal physician. I received my bachelors degree from Columbia University, majoring in psychology. Vincent Van Gogh once said: "After all there is nothing in the world as interesting as people, and one can never study them enough."

Dr. Voleti provides treatment for individuals in all stages of development including childhood, adolescence, young adulthood and adulthood. She is experienced in Psychodynamic psychotherapy, family therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Parent Management Training (PMT). Dr. Voleti utilizes a trauma informed approach to care, with an appreciation for the influence of early childhood attachments and traumas in shaping mental health outcomes. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center/ NYU Child Study Center.
