I'm passionate about helping survivors recover from trauma, and absolutely love caring for patients. I take a relational, warm, and supportive approach to your treatment. Also, I am a board-certified, UCSF and Yale trained adult psychiatrist with expertise in the treatment of trauma. I’m the Co-founder of Nema Health, a telehealth practice that offers effective and research-backed care for trauma survivors. We currently offer Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a first-line treatment endorsed by the National Center for PTSD. 90% of our patients experience clinical improvement in their trauma symptoms.

When requested by my patients, I combine conventional medications with functional and integrative medicine approaches to address concerns like anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Dr. Simbiat Adighije (Dr. Sim) has 14+ years of experience in treating adults with PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar disorder and weight management. She practices as a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health NP with a wealth of education & experience. Dr. Sim graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University with Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Nursing. She further received a Medical Degree and PhD in Public Health from University of Science, Arts and Technology, Montserrat (Florida campus). She believes in a personalized treatment plan for each patient be it medication therapy and/or psychotherapy.

I treat issues, such as ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, and OCD. One of my special interests is ADHD, both childhood & adult. I perform ADHD evals and treat ADHD, which includes prescribing stimulants, if warranted. Symptoms in adults can be poor listening skills, inability to follow through with tasks, low frustration tolerance, and impulsivity which can lead to a number of difficulties with your job, family relationships, friendships, romantic relationships, and other social connections.
