My name is Beatrice Iloka, and as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in adults who have Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders Cognitive Disorders, Personality Disorders, Schizophrenia and Personality Disorders. Clients needs are numerous which includes the following: Health assessment, Health History, Screening, Diagnosing, Prescribing medications and other treatment modalities such as Therapy and evaluating care out come. The goal of client evaluation is to identify general health status of the client, to screen for psychiatric, nonpsychiatric disorders and to get treatment to help them to return to normal function.

I like to think my practice offers something for everyone. I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, so I can prescribe medications, but I am also a therapist. Many patients like the idea of their psychopharmacologist also being their therapist, because it means that I understand my patients as whole persons, and can minimize the amount of medication necessary. In some cases problems can be addressed with therapy alone, by helping patients identify and manage their emotions. For patients who prefer to work with someone else as therapist, I can function solely as the psychopharmacologist.

I completed my Doctorate degree of Nursing (DNP) from Grand Canyon University Phoenix Arizona.

After completing training in 2012 at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center of Shreveport, I began practicing psychiatry. have experience practicing in multiple settings including emergency room, hospital, medical wards, outpatient programs, outpatient offices, correctional facilities, research substance use programs and teaching programs.
