Davita Burkhead-Weiner, MD, is a board certified Child and Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Before establishing a private practice, Dr. Burkhead-Weiner was an outpatient psychiatrist at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea. She is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry through the University of Michigan in 2014.

I currently am accepting new patients, including early evening hours. My strongest clinical background is in treating adults, older children, and adolescents with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. I offer individual psychotherapy as well as medication management appointments. I also have expertise in consulting with schools to help best support students. I have worked extensively with patients and families in improving relationships and communication. I have clinical expertise in providing diagnostic assessments, consultation, and care linkage for children, adolescents, and adults as well.

I take a holistic approach to psychiatric care. A complete assessment is done at every initial visit which includes a diagnostic interview and medication management if the person chooses. I provide information and the person chooses how they want to move forward.
