Shyu treats patients between the ages of 18 and 99 years old Connie Shyu is a board certified Physician Assistant who treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions with special interest in anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and women's issues like post partum/perimenopausal mood and anxiety conditions. Connie earned a B.S. from University of Illinois and an MA in Medical Sciences from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. She practiced in a variety of medical specialties including pulmonary and sleep medicine, pain management, and inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.

Dr. Umesh Rao Chakunta is an Adult and Geriatric Psychiatrist in Illinois who has been practicing since 2012. Following Medical Education in India, Dr. Chakunta completed Adult Psychiatry Residency at University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls and Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at Mount Sinai school of Medicine in New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Chakunta has a special Interest in managing mood disorders, thought disorders, anxiety disorders, and behavioral problems associated with dementia.

Since 2021, I have dedicated myself to the field of psychiatry, driven by a profound passion for healing. Dr. Lozano is the Medical Director of the Joliet Center for Clinical Research, founded in 2003. Dr. Lozano received his M.D. from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and completed his residency in Psychiatry at Loyola University of Chicago. Dr Lozano completed his Geriatric Fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center before starting his clinical practice in Joliet in 1994. Dr. Lozano is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Lozano sees patients from ages to 18 and older and with all disorders from the surrounding Intermediate Care Facilities, Hospitals and office.

I have over eleven years’ experience in the field of mental illness. I worked as a registered nurse for 7 years before transitioning to psychiatric nurse practitioner the last 5 years. I provide both psychotherapy and psychopharmacological treatment.

Alissa Thompson is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has ten years of experience in caring for individuals who face mental health and developmental conditions within both clinic and hospital settings. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago and underwent specialized training in child psychiatry.

Jodie, an ANCC Board-Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist, holds an advanced Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and brings over 20 years of diverse experience to her practice. Having worked in various settings, she has honed her skills and expertise to offer exceptional, compassionate care to individuals seeking to improve their mental well-being. Jodie is deeply committed to providing client-centered, empathetic care tailored to each person's unique needs. As a DNP, her versatile role encompasses medication management, therapy, education, community mental health advocacy, and legal reform advocacy.
