I completed my psychiatric residency at Brown University in Providence, RI where I learned the art and science of psychiatry. I provide psychotherapy and medication management online . I only prescribe psychotropic medications when medically necessary. I have a 100% multi-state telepsychiatry practice.

I am a Columbia University-trained psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I'm licensed to treat individuals across the life span, with extensive training in working with children, adolescents and adults with a subspeciality in women's mental health. I provide complete psychiatric assessment and care, including psychiatric evaluations, individual therapy and medication management if indicated. We may work together in starting medication, adjusting and optimizing current medication treatment, or discontinuing medication safely as well as providing therapy including lifelong skills.

Hi there, I have been trained to treat many psychiatric illnesses and issues, with both medication and therapy. The different types of therapy I use include DBT, CBT, supportive and psychodynamic therapy. My patient population ranges from children as young as 6 years old to adults. The majority of children I work with are struggling with anxiety or ADHD, often both. The adolescents and adults that I treat have a variety of issues, including anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders and mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder.

Hi! I’m a New York City-based double-board certified psychiatrist working with adults, adolescents, and children. My work centers around psychotherapy; including developmentally appropriate psychodynamic, CBT, and play therapies. Dr. Maria Tresa Carvajal is an adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist. She is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, and is bilingual in Spanish and English. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, BronxCare Health System and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Northwell Health in New York. She has experience working in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and the emergency department. Dr. Carvajal has submitted and presented work in the American Psychiatric Association and has also collaborated in a book publication.
