I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner, licensed psychologist, and life coach with over 30 years of experience as a mental health professional. I work with clients who live in New York State, are between the ages of 18 and 60, and are considering medication to help them manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, or attention deficits. I work with ALL clients and am particularly a good fit for those who are considering medication for the first time OR whose first experience with medication was less than ideal. I also offer coaching to improve your mindset and lifestyle to support your mental health and overall wellness.
Medication can be very helpful in reducing/eliminating your symptoms but other factors play a role in your mental health as well. To that end I also stress the importance of sleep, nutrition, exercise, healthy relationships, healthy thinking habits, and therapy (if needed) among other factors.
Starting medication may be new to you, it may seem scary, or you may have had negative prior experiences. It’s so important to find a provider who is patient, listens to what you’re experiencing and how it is impacting you, and takes the time to explain your treatment options in a way that is easy to understand. I am that provider.
