Sokhira Yang is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in the mental health field as well as an advocate for mental health and overall wellness. Sokhira’s areas of interest include PTSD, ADHD, and depression. Sokhira began her nursing career as a corrections nurse, and saw the importance of mental health in underserved populations.
Being a proud daughter of survivors of the Khmer Rouge genocide and also, as a single mother, she is committed to empowering her patients to be able to succeed in all aspects of their lives. Dr. Yang obtained her doctorate in nursing to be able to make an even greater impact on her patient’s health and wellbeing.
In addition to Sokhira, the Northeast Wellness team consists of several Psychiatric Prescribers available for Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management in various specialties.
