Psychiatry can be much more than merely the identification of a mental disorder and the prescription of psychotropic medications or other interventions to manage the symptoms of the condition. Over the past 40 years I’ve developed an understanding of the resulting functional difficulties that can arise when these conditions are present, tools to characterize them and strategies to treat or meliorate them. My goal and a mission of the Center and its staff is to identify and treat these conditions using a wide range of modalities and to improve a broad range of functioning from executive functioning to social skill functioning.
I have been awarded the Best Doctor in America Award for 21 years consecutively as well as America’s Top Doctor Award for the last 20 years. I have been the author and coauthor of over 200 publications and presentations. I maintain the same perspective regarding attention to advances in the field and their integration into everyday practice.
One of the areas we are developing is providing ketamine treatment for all ages. As a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist I am in a position to provide ketamine treatment for treatment resistant conditions in children, adolescents including those of college age, young adults, adults, and through life even for those dealing with end-of-life issues.
