I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). My role as a PMHNP includes evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents and adults. My experience encompasses substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, ADHD, thought disorders, and personality disorders.
My treatment philosophy is a holistic and integrative approach. PMHNP’s scope of practice includes prescribing psychotropic medications when indicated whether short-term, long-term, or as needed. Complementary therapies are encouraged and recommended in most cases in addition to psychotropic medication.
