As a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I treat psychiatric conditions using a holistic and bio-psycho-social approach. My goal is to restore feelings of stability and well-being and I work with each patient to develop a specialized plan of care. My training has offered me the ability to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management. I understand that starting medication can have its concerns and I strive to provide education and counseling during this process.
I believe that medications assist greatly during recovery but are not all inclusive. I strongly encourage counseling/ therapy in order to obtain a new perspective, learn new coping skills and process past life events.
