I am a dedicated board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 28 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health care to diverse patient populations. My approach to mental healthcare includes integrating my expertise and passion for patient advocacy to guide patient-centered care. As I work to deliver individualized mental health treatment, there is one main priority: YOU. The patient’s needs guide the quality care that will be provided. I will actively listen to and encourage active participation as we work together to set appropriate treatment goals.
I have worked most of my career with Veterans, but this has also provided me the opportunity to treat a wide variety of mental health concerns. My level of comfort includes, but is not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, impulse disorder, and insomnia.
The tone/environment for sessions is safe and therapeutic. I will be honest and direct, but fair and non-judgmental. The patients will feel part of the treatment plan discussion as the environment will be guided by shared decision-making
