I specialize in treating patients ages 8+ with psychiatric, chemical dependency, and dual diagnosis concerns including but not limited to Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, ADHD, Schizophrenia/Psychosis, and Bipolar Disorder. I am driven to build strong relationships with patients and their families. My goal is to act as a patient advocate to achieve the best possible outcomes. As a nurse, I established a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. I also promoted patient independence by establishing patient care goals while reinforcing patient understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills. I bring that experience to my work as a PMHNP.
I believe that managing mental health is essential and at times a task not easily accomplished alone. I practice evidence-based care to ensure that each and every patient has the most updated treatment options while using an integrative and holistic approach that targets the individual as a whole.
