Nicole Schmelz is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing since 2016. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hope College and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. Nicole has more than 8 years of experience working in several emergency departments across the country, caring for vulnerable patients across the lifespan. During this time, she developed a passion for helping those experiencing psychological distress, including anxiety, feelings of depression, grief, PTSD, sleep disorders, ADHD, substance abuse, and more.
She uses a holistic, non-judgmental approach that includes the mind, body, and spirit. Nicole empowers her patients to be involved in their care and collaborates with them to develop a personalized treatment plan unique to each individual s needs.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys traveling, watching the Detroit Lions, and spending time with her cats, Beans and Harv.
