I base my treatment on the biopsychosocial model and evidence-based practices. I understand that medication is only a part of the picture within the biopsychosocial model of mental health. I am a strong supporter of collaborative care and will work with other providers to maintain clients optimal health. As a prescriber I take on the role of consult and encourage clients to feel confident in their psychiatric care. I do this by asking questions, answering questions, and encouraging clients take the lead in their care.
