My name is Dr. Nellie Samuel. I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) from Grand Canyon University, and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. For the past 9 years, I have been working with patients across the lifespan, most especially with children, adolescents, and adults in Clinical settings. During my years of practice, I have gathered hands-on clinical experience working with patients with ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Mood Disorders (including Major depression and bipolar disorder).
My approach to treatment is holistic, taking into consideration the individual, biological (medical and genetic factors), family environment, support system, cultural issues, psychological, and many other social factors that may impact the overall functioning of the patient or adversely influence their disease process and adherence to treatment.
I always prefer my patients to be relaxed and honest with me about what is going on or why they are seeking treatment, and I try to create a calm, warm, and friendly environment for my patients to feel comfortable during treatment sessions.
