About
I have practiced psychiatry in Denver for the past thirty years and have been both an educator and leader in the Denver psychiatric community. I currently serve on the senior clinical faculty in the departments of psychiatry and family medicine at the University of Colorado. I served as medical director at the University of Colorado's Depression Center, The Colorado Anxiety Disorders Institute, the Health-One hospital system and Bethesda Psychiatric Hospital. Treatment approaches include psychotherapy, medication management when needed, and holistic approaches. Visit my website at neilweinermd.com for information about my qualifications, treatment philosophy and areas of specialization.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders (panic disorder, generalized anxiety, OCD, and phobias), depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, relationship issues, personal growth and self-esteem. I am a psychiatrist who is equally skilled with pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy and provide an integrated, evidence based approach.
I had the honor of being awarded 5280 magazine's Top Doctor award three years in a row. I have a compassionate, empathic approach that focuses on clinical excellence and evidence based treatments.
