I am a Georgetown-trained Psychiatrist and psychotherapist for adults in DC, MD, and VA. I often treat people who are struggling with issues like poor sleep, constant worrying, low energy, or feeling down much of the time; these issues may be affecting work and relationships as well. I take a collaborative approach to care, creating a plan that is considerate of each patient’s individual challenges and goals. I offer medication management, when indicated, alone or in combination with psychotherapy.
Regarding therapy, I primarily practice psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is an in-depth “talk therapy” intended not only to relieve symptoms but also help develop growth toward a more fulfilling life. In addition to practicing general adult Psychiatry, I have a particular interest in treating the LGBTQ+ population.
