As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my focus is providing patient centered, individualized care utilizing medication management. I look forward to getting to know my clients and schedule 60-90 minutes for new intakes and 30 minutes for follow up appointments as I believe becoming familiar with my client is imperative in developing an individualized, personalized treatment plan. I also provide brief supportive therapy at each visit. I specialize in anxiety, depression, bipolar, attention deficit disorder and substance use disorders and work in collaboration with other specialties to treat psychiatric diagnoses.

I partner with clients of all ages and life experiences. My goal is to be your teammate in finding the simplest and healthiest strategies to allow you to take ownership of your mental health.

I have experience in treating anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. I am also able to treat PTSD symptoms and ADHD. I am a certified provider for Culturally Competent Care in LGBTQ+ individuals and practice trauma informed care. I see ages 12 to 65 years old.

During my residency, I completed specialized training in women's mental health issues. l was Board Certified in Psychiatry in 2013 and I am a DEA licensed Suboxone provider with experience in substance use disorders. Because of my commitment to quality holistic care, I founded the Coeur Group, a group of treatment professionals, with unique talents, that share a space. We offer comprehensive treatment as "One size" does not fit all. Overall wellness, balance, and recovery is an ongoing journey.

Dr. Nancy Handler, founder of Mind and Mood Mental Health, LLC, is a board certified psychiatrist who graduated medical school from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed residency at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Handler has completed additional training in management of women's mental health through Mass General Hospital. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of various mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders.

Dr. Daughton treats patients with a broad range of illnesses including mood, anxiety, behavioral and developmental disorders.

As a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) I feel passionately that our physical and mental health are interconnected and it is best to treat from a whole body perspective and really get to know my patients on a personal level. Each and every person is an individual and I believe it is my role to listen, and learn about my patients .

I enjoy helping people...period. I am credentialed for all ages from very young to the elderly and have worked with all ages. For patients that do need medication; I use a conservative approach and monitor closely until they are stable. My medication management patients do get some therapy in their follow up sessions, because this assists me in evaluating the effectiveness of the medication. If I am not able to help a patient, I will try to find someone else who is a better fit for them. I believe in a community approach for patients, it does take us all working together!
