Blue Mountain Psychiatry under the direction of Dr. Rifai provides comprehensive premium care integrating a thorough medical workup, psychotherapy and medication treatments. We also provide non-medication treatment options including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. We are a center for excellence in providing Ketamine treatments. Dr. Rifai is board certified in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Psychosomatic Medicine and Medical Management and has practiced in the Greater Lehigh Valley for more than 20 years. Dr. Rifai currently serves as the president of the Lehigh Valley psychiatric Society
Dr. Rifai obtained his medical training at the University of Virginia in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. He was the recipient of a National Research Service Award to study neuroscienses, and worked at the prestigious National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda Maryland as a clinical Staff fellow for several years.
Dr. Rifai brings a wealth of clinical experience to his practice, having served as a Medical Director and a Chairman of Psychiatry. Dr. Rifai is a professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine . He is married to Douha Sabouni, MD an OB/GYN in Easton and have 3 boys.
