I am a board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with over fifteen years of experience working with children and adults in a variety of settings including community mental health clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and other specialized settings. I am firmly rooted in Louisiana and have served the Louisiana community for over ten years. My approach uses evidence informed medicine- creating an individual treatment plan based on current medical research as well as using an approach that incorporates a biological, psychological and social model of care.
Specializing in child psychiatry allows me to not only evaluate and treat children and help them to navigate through life's challenges but it also allows me to better treat adults- as many persisting conditions often first start in childhood. Having additional certification in psychodynamic psychotherapy allows me to provide more treatment options.
