As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), providing patient-centered care is at the heart of what I do. The foundation of my practice is based on empathy, communication, education and compassionate care. We are not our symptoms and as such deserve to be treated as a whole person. We are shaped and affected by every aspect of our life and this cannot be overlooked when addressing our mental health.
I have been a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2017 earning my Masters of Science in Nursing from Indiana University. As a PMHNP I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient community mental health for adults & children, residential, and inpatient/emergency units.
My goal is to provide a space to build trust and develop a collaborative relationship with my patients. Through this we can identify goals of treatment and formulate a plan to improve quality of life, functioning, and overall well-being.
