Hi, I’m Dr. Moira Kapeen, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-C, a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My background in acute care, primary care, and psychiatry allows me to take a whole-person approach to mental health. I work with adults seeking medically informed psychiatric care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, life transitions, and the mental health impact of medical conditions, including obesity, cancer, and other chronic illnesses. I regularly support individuals preparing for weight-loss (bariatric) surgery.
I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management using an integrated medical-psychiatric approach. I also offer pre-operative psychiatric evaluations for bariatric surgery, including clinical interviews, standardized psychological testing, risk assessment, and written clearance letters in accordance with bariatric program requirements.
