About
Symptoms such as depression and anxiety can be caused by chemical imbalances in a person’s brain. Medications can relieve these symptoms by changing brain chemicals that influence mood and thought patterns. Because every individual responds differently to every medication, a specialized neuropsychiatrist is the best equipped to prescribe and manage drug therapy. At Kaizen, our neuropsychiatrist considers the whole patient, including symptom and medication history. Dr. Ahmed also has a strong background with military, veteran, and active-duty patients suffering from PTSD, MDD, or Generalized Anxiety.
Mohammed Ahmed, MD, is a Neuropsychiatrist, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Ahmed is Medical Director of Kaizen Brain Center and affiliate staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital Department of Neurology & Psychiatry. He was previously an associate physician and academic instructor at University of California San Diego (UCSD).
We are here to help you or your loved ones begin their journey to a healthier, brighter life. We thank you for your trust in our care and look forward to having you apart of our Kaizen Brain Center community.
