Complete the Patient Inquiry Form on my website. You will receive a response the same or next day. My practice is primarily composed of adults struggling with anxiety and depression. I find that people reach out to treatment when excessive worry, low motivation, and negative thinking can lead to feeling less confident in their work, behind on tasks at home, and impacting their relationships. I don't treat ADHD and I don't prescribe controlled substances, such as Xanax for anxiety.

My goal is to partner with individuals to relieve emotional pain and suffering. We all encounter periods of emotional turmoil in our lives that may lead to feelings of isolation, grief, anxiety and depression. During these times, it is difficult, if not impossible, to find solutions to problems on our own. Along with fostering a safe environment for sharing, I provide psychoanalysis and psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy. I endeavor to empower others to find a greater sense of emotional flexibility, discover new solutions to old problems, invigorate relationships, achieve peace of mind, and experience enduring change.

I work with ADHD, ADD, anxiety, depression, marriage & couples counseling, anger problems, unresolved trauma, & PTSD. I enjoy working with individuals and couples who may be experiencing communication and relationship issues, daily life stressors, parenting difficulties or life transitions. I am dually licensed as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) and psychotherapist (LCSW). Having two different licenses affords me the unique perspective of seeing mental health from the physiological and psychological viewpoints. I offer mental health medication management, psychotherapy, counseling, coaching or a combination of these. Sometimes there is great value in having one practitioner to address both the medical and mental health concerns.

I practice with warmth and curiosity, accepting others where they are in the present and respecting the many experiences they arrive to it with. I am devoted to helping those I work with develop a new understanding of their patterns, desires, inner conflicts, and pain carried in the body from overwhelming life conditions and experiences. I meet others where they are, embrace their stories, and offer a therapeutic relationship that is nurturing, collaborative, and growth oriented.

I have experience working with people across the lifespan treating mainly anxiety and depression. I have specific interests and experience with people requiring medication and support through their pregnancy and/or postpartum, dealing with women's health issues and supporting people in recovery from drugs and alcohol. I do not manage people in acute withdrawal at this time. Safety, transparency and evidence based care are the foundation of my prescribing.
