When it comes to your mental health, it's important to have the right people by your side, especially when it comes to working with medication. I take great care to listen to my patients, provide a safe-space, and keep a non judgmental stance, and I prefer to work alongside my patients as we decide next steps.
With a background that includes more than 15 years in healthcare and higher education, I have experience working as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, professor, practice mentor for master’s in nursing and doctoral students. I've lalso worked as a nurse in clinical and emergency room settings.
My experience includes treatment of a variety of conditions including ADHD, anxiety, panic disorder, depression, PTSD, OCD, bipolar I and II, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, and unspecified psychotic disorders. Additionally, I have direct experience treating inpatient and outpatient acute mental health conditions.
I offer a mindful approach to the use of medications, closely collaborating with patients to determine a medication regimen based on current research and evidence. I may also see if you qualify for GeneSight testing if you have tried several medications in the past.
