During consultations, I focus on being supportive and understanding while at the same time being a very thorough professional. I have over thirty years of experience in various levels of care, assisting and guiding clients to adjust to new life situations. Taking the necessary time to listen to you helps me make the best evaluation and together we come up with a treatment plan. Before establishing my practice in the United States, I have also had a wide range of experience in Brazil, where for fifteen years, I worked as a clinical psychiatrist and taught medical students and psychiatry residents.I lecture in conferences as well.
As we work together to tailor your specific plan, psychotherapy, and medications can be prescribed as needed, as well as any alternative interventions such as yoga, meditation, and supplements. When working with children and adolescents I consider it extremely important to have an open channel of communication with the caregivers. Licensed: NJ, NY and FL.
In addition, consultations are also done in Spanish and Portuguese via video conference or in person. I have experience with supervision and currently offer clinical supervision for social workers and counselors.
