I believe that providing mental health resources to people in the foundation stages of their life can set them up for success in the future. This also gives more time to figure out what works best for each patient to grow with them. I first earned a degree in Psychology to pursue my passion for the mind and its abilities. But after graduation, I realized I wanted to be in a career that helps people understand the mind and helps them become the best versions of themselves through the healing process.
I believe that connecting with patients and developing a therapeutic alliance is the most important aspect of the provider-patient relationship. My therapeutic style is to guide patients to find their solutions through motivational interviewing and help them become advocates for their mental health.
I am interested in the idea of alternative treatments. For patients with treatment-resistant depression, traditional medications aren’t enough to alleviate symptoms. Having access to treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS therapy and esketamine, opens a door of opportunities for patients and their providers to find the best treatment.
