While I was training at Johns Hopkins, I found that many people from outside Baltimore were traveling into the city to find excellent psychiatric care. After finishing residency, I started the Maryland Anxiety and Depression Treatment Center to increase access to care in Howard County. If you feel that life is hopeless or that you have lost your sense of well-being, I am happy to help you to know joy again.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in treating depression and anxiety disorders. I see patients ages 16 and up, and I have a special interest in treating pregnant and nursing women. In order to give the best care, I provide thorough evaluations and create a customized treatment plan for each person I see.
I believe that for a psychiatrist to give you excellent care they must know you well. For this reason, I provide longer sessions, not quick medication checks, and offer talk therapy as well as medication. If you see a separate therapist, medication appointments are long enough for discussion and for all questions to be answered.
