My name is Michael Arenson (he/they), and I am a Psychiatric Nurse practitioner. I provide mental health care across the lifespan, with particular interest in anxiety and mood disorders, psychotic disorders, Autism spectrum, ADHD, and OCD. I know from experience that walking into a mental health office can be intimidating and takes courage. My role is to listen to your lived experience with curiosity and respect, not judgment. I won’t pathologize your normal reactions to an abnormal world. Sometimes a diagnosis perfectly captures your lived experience, and sometimes a diagnosis should be written in pencil instead of pen.
I provide medication management and psychoeducation. I will walk you through my thought process and help you navigate the nuances of mental health care so together we can build an individualized roadmap to help relieve your distressing symptoms. I strive to provide a safe, affirming space for all walks of life.
