Helios Psychiatry and Counseling is a group practice consisting of a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, physician assistants, licensed social workers, and licensed professional counselors. We are committed to providing services to clients who suffer from any emotional or mental health issues -- depression, anxiety, trauma, obsessions, addiction, among other issues.

I'm a board-certified adult and child psychiatrist specializing in the true integration of psychopharmacology with psychotherapy. I believe in active collaboration with patients to achieve treatment goals, while reducing the need for psychotropic medication when appropriate. I encourage patients, within an empathic and supportive environment, to gain a better understanding of themselves in order to facilitate positive change.

Joel L. Young M.D. is medical director of the Rochester Center for Behavior Medicine (RCBM) and the Cofounder and Chief Medical Officer of MindMetrix.
