I am a native of Puerto Rico and a transplanted New Yorker. I graduated from Cornell University Medical College and completed a residency at St. Vincent's Hospital, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. I have been in CT since 1989, initially as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Yale and director of the Connecticut Mental Health Center's Hispanic Clinic. I subsequently worked extensively as chief of the psychiatric crisis service at Griffin Hospital. I am currently the medical director of the Community Child Guidance Clinic in Manchester, CT.

Now in network with Cigna, United/Optum/Connecticare. With offices in both Windsor and Greenwich, I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve their optimal level of mental health. With over 6 years of experience in the field, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities of psychiatric symptoms, medications, and the role therapy plays in helping you be the best version of yourself! I have focused training in perinatal psychiatry. I provide medication management for preconception, pregnant, and postpartum families. I have a special interest in working with individuals coping with stress related to infertility and medical complications during the perinatal period, including, high-risk pregnancy, fetal diagnosis, congenital anomalies, NICU stays and transitions home after a NICU hospitalization.
