I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to provide care to patients with mental health disorders across the lifespan. I began my formal career in mental health in 2023, working in an outpatient setting where I help patients aged 12 and older navigate psychiatric conditions. Prior to this role, I spent many years as a registered nurse in complex neuro/trauma and medical intensive care units, which has equipped me with a unique perspective on integrating critical care and mental health support.
I specialize in medication management and the treatment of mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and depression. My approach is patient-centered, incorporating talk therapy alongside medication management to help influence behaviors and bring about meaningful, lasting changes.
In addition to my professional expertise, I am fluent in both English and Amharic, which allows me to deliver care that is culturally appropriate and accessible to a broader range of patients. I approach my work with compassion, kindness, and a commitment to excellent customer service, ensuring that every patient feels seen, heard, and supported.
