About
Professionally, I am a physician and a psychologist. Personally, I am also a husband, parent, brother and friend. I listen to people and use all I’ve learned in my formal education and life experiences as well as some common sense and a dash of humor (when appropriate) to help them. Most people seeking help are able to tell their story, even if painful when they feel safe, respected and not judged. By nature and training, I tend to be analytical when approaching a problem but I’ve learned to balance this with empathy and understanding.
Although I work with all ages I find working with children and teens particularly rewarding. My years of training have prepared me to understand them while my years as a parent help me understand what their families may be experiencing.
My leisure hours are often spent with my wife horseback riding locally and horse camping throughout California. I also train regularly in Asai Shotokan karate. For maximum chill out, I spend time with my big red Golden Retriever, Taz.
