Hello! I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Most of my experience has been with young adults through elder adults. I am licensed in Arizona and Illinois. Currently, I am based in Illinois and have been a psychiatric nurse for 30 years and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner for 8+ years. I received my post-master's certificate at Saint Louis University. I help clients understand their symptoms and work to find a safe and effective medication treatment for their specific psychiatric disorder.
In our first appointment together, we will start with brief introductions. Then, I will ask about your mental health and physical history, medications, the specifics of what brought you in, your challenges, and what your goals are. This will help us create a tailored medication and treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up appointments.
Having a diverse background, I tend to see clients from all walks of life and an array of mental health disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety, addictions, life transitions, schizophrenia, and substance use/co occurring issues.
I have found people who are willing to put an effort into treatment and follow their treatment plan have the best outcomes.
