My philosophy is to treat others as I would want to be treated. It is my moral obligation to provide nonjudgmental care & support as I work in collaboration with my clients. I believe the treatment of psychiatric disorders should be holistic in nature, which may include, utilizing prescription medications, psychotherapy, vitamins, & other supplements. This whole-body approach should also incorporate lifestyle changes & wellness principles, such as- dietary changes, exercise, sleep hygiene, mindfulness, and social connection. I also believe that patient education and engagement is key in the healing process.
I have a varied background in the medical profession that began in the U.S. Air Force in 2005 as a Public Health Tech. I proudly served my country until 2021, when I was honorably discharged. I began practicing in psychiatry as a board-certified nurse practitioner in 2019. I am also an adjunct nursing professor at Malone University.
As a healthcare professional, I strongly believe that I have the ability to change the way those with mental illnesses view themselves & how they are viewed & treated by others. I am here to work alongside you and give you hope for improved mental health and overall wellness.
