While I prescribe medication, I strongly advocate psychotherapy either in combination with medications, or alone, in most situations. I have extensive training in different modes of psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and a more intensive type of therapy called Psychoanalysis. I believe that psychotherapy can help bring about the kinds of lasting changes and satisfaction personally and in relationships that most people are looking for.
I am board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Neurology and Psychiatry with 15+ years in private practice; a graduate of the Beck Institute training program in Cognitive Therapy; and a graduate and faculty member of the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies program for psychoanalysis training.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I am a member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and The American Psychoanalytic Association. I am not in-network with any insurance companies.
