Dr. Matthew Koller is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who is joining the Talkiatry team as a staff psychiatrist after completion of his psychiatry residency. Dr. Koller believes that a person must be known before they are treated, and he works with patients to understand their goals of care while prioritizing a collaborative treatment approach. Dr. Koller completed his undergraduate training at The University of Texas at Austin before pursuing his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his general adult psychiatry training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he served as Chief Resident of Education during his final year.
Dr. Koller focuses on treating adults 18+. He has training in both psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment, emphasizing a patient-centered, interprofessional approach to care. He has experience in treating a variety of mental health illness, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, personality disorders, bipolar disorder and PTSD.
