About
Accepting new clients in January 2023. Hello! My name is Mary Salisbury, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC. I am a doctorally-prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive rights to prescribe psychiatric medications. I possess over 13 years of experience in the behavioral health field both in inpatient and outpatient settings. I am the program director of the masters nursing tracks for a local University. I am a nominated board member of the Connecticut Nurses Association. I provide supervision and mentorship to novice APRNs at a local community mental health agency.
I offer telehealth services specializing in major depressive disorders, mood/affective disorders, psychotic disorders and trauma. I provide medication management and supportive therapy.
I believe in building trust, connection and collaboration with clients to assist them in achieving their best mental health, through several modalities including medication management, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, collaboration with other medical and behavioral providers as appropriate, and family as necessary. It takes a village!
