Now accepting new patients. Dr. Lang-Furr has over 15 years of experience treating patients with PTSD, insomnia, depression, bipolar, and anxiety disorders. She is double-board certified in Adult and Geriatric psychiatry. Dr. Lang-Furr is an advocate for lifestyle psychiatry, focusing on psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions in combination with conservative use of medications when necessary.
Components of lifestyle psychiatry include prescribing physical activity, nutrition, mindfulness practice, and psychotherapy in order to improve emotional health and well-being. Dr. Lang-Furr is skilled at helping patients decrease their medication burden when that is clinically indicated.
Dr. Lang-Furr's clinical perspective: “My approach to my patients is the same as I would want for my own family: a holistic treatment orientation that includes talk therapy and incorporates a healthy lifestyle in order to improve mental health and reduce the amount of medication required.”
