Mary is a board-certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist who has been practicing for the last 20 years. She earned her Master’s degree from Northeastern University. Mary has experience working in outpatient clinics, private practice and inpatient unit (McLean Hospital for 6 years) and academic settings. She prescribes and manages psychiatric medications, she also encourages exercise /fitness balanced nutrition, yoga and meditation as part of holistic mental health care. She has experience working with a wide range of patients
Mary enjoys working with all ages; adolescents, college students, adults and geriatric folks. She treats a wide spectrum of conditions including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, PTSD, Mood disorders and substance use disorders. She enjoys collaborating with other providers including therapists and PCPs. Mary values a holistic approach to treatment.
She believes in the biopsychosocial model and believes that every person is a unique individual. As such, she tailors treatment to individual needs, integrates psycho education and an eclectic mix of psychotherapy modalities including supportive therapy, CBT, modified DBT and Trauma focused therapy.
