I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and became board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in 2023. I pride myself on my empathy towards others. In my role as a prescriber, I strive to look at my relationship with clients as a teammate, not an authority figure. I am passionate about comprehensive treatment approach. I completed my doctoral project with young adults in a group therapy setting managing symptoms of depression to help clients holistically. I look forward to gaining therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages to use medication as a tool for their mental health.
My 6 years working in psychiatry developed my passion for working with clients of all ages. I find fulfillment working with kids and adults to treat mental health concerns proactively and comprehensively through medication management, building rapport, and enhancing health promotion strategies.
I became a nurse to help others. Mental health is vital part of nursing care. I have always wanted to be a nurse practitioner, and I ultimately chose to complete my Doctorate in Nursing Practice to learn how to help clients, families, and colleagues improve the quality of our care and increase options for patients.
