I am a Board Certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner, with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I have nine years of experience in treatment of mental disorders across the lifespan. My areas of expertise include; Diagnosis and treatment for Psychosis, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety/Panic Disorders, OCD and trauma-related disorders, such as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I work primarily in underserved communities in New York. My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatment. I utilize an integrative model that draws upon cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness based copying strategies.
Clients will acquire knowledge about the brain and how anxiety is triggered and maintained. Understanding of neurological functioning underlying anxiety will help promote behavioral change. We will create a safe space where you can better understand the patterns in thoughts, emotions and impacts on behavior in order to achieve your goals.
