About
I trained at Columbia and UCLA, and am double Board Certified in Adult and Addiction psychiatry. I completed additional post-graduate training in the UCLA Mood Disorders Fellowship, gaining expertise in depression, bipolar disorder, and treatment resistant conditions. I also have expertise in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, having been selected as a fellow of the American Psychoanalytic Association. I previously worked at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center as Assistant Professor and as Medical Director of a Collaborative Care Initiative designed to address the needs of primary care and Ob-Gyn patients.
My primary passion is working one-on-one with individuals, using a combination of therapy, as well as medications when indicated. I also offer telemedicine services when appropriate (phone or video). I enjoy collaborating with therapists as a team. I frequently help patients taper down on medications.
My other specialty interests include: helping patients taper down or off pain and anxiety medications; working with new parents during the challenging postpartum period; helping individuals through relationship transitions; and addressing symptoms that arise during medical conditions.
