I work with adults age 25 and older seeking care for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, and PTSD, in person in Sarasota and by telehealth throughout Florida, in English and Spanish. Some arrive after years of treatment that never quite fit; others are seeking help for the first time. Psychological distress usually reflects a complex interplay of environmental, social, and psychological factors, not a single cause. Optimal care begins by listening to your story and understanding your goals. There are no magic pills or instant cures. I use medication when it is indicated, and say so plainly when it is not.

As a board-certified psychiatrist, I provide diagnostic evaluation and medication management for adults age 25 and older. My focus is getting the diagnosis right before changing treatment, which often means reviewing prior records carefully. I also encourage therapy that supports the mind-body connection. Care is available in English and Spanish.

Reaching out for psychiatric help takes effort, especially if past treatment left you discouraged or unsure it was worth repeating.
